Synergia Sports Week 2k19 was organized between 28th Feb.’19 to 13th Mar.’19 at Ahmedabad.
Held at GMERS Medical College Sola, the crucial final of this much cherished tournament was played between Team Mali Kartikbhai and Team Khodabhai on 13th Mar.’19.
Opting to bat first, team Mali Kartikbhai posted a big score of 130 runs in 12 overs by losing 4 wickets. Team started well with opening batsmen KK and Mitesh Chavda scoring 23 and 38 runs respectively at fast pace. It was followed by the strong innings by Shripal Chauhan, who added 33 runs off 11 balls with 3 boundaries and 3 sixes. With most of the players contributed well team managed to put up a very good score for the final clash. None of the bowlers from Team Khodabhai managed to restrict the run-flow of Team Mali Kartik, however, SA Bhai succeeded in picking up 3 important wickets.
While replying, despite losing wickets at regular intervals, Team Khodabhai tried really well till the last over. Opening batsman Asutosh scored 22 runs off 17 balls giving team a good start. The other major contributor was Captain KP, who smashed 34 runs in 19 balls with 4 boundaries and 1 six. However, remaining players did not manage to go beyond 10’s and team ended up scoring 100 runs in 12 overs with the loss of 6 wickets. All the bowlers of Team Mali Kartikbhai performed well but pick of the lot was Nikhit Anil, who picked 2 wickets in 2 overs.
Team Mali Kartikbhai put up an all-round show and won the final of Synergia Sports Week 2k19 by 30 runs against Team Khodabhai.
Mitesh Chavda from Team Mali Kartikbhai was awarded as the player of the match.
