Ajay T-20 Premier League 2019 was organized between 14th Feb.’19 to 28th Feb.’19 at Dhamtari.
Out of 20 participant teams, the crucial final of this much celebrated tournament was played between Rampur Ward Club and Hatkeshare Ward on 28th Feb.’19 at Boys Ground- Dhamtari.
Hatkeshar Ward won the toss and elected to bowl first. Batting first, Rampur Ward Club posted a good target of 116 runs in 12 overs by losing 7 wickets. Highest scorer was Captain Harish Sahu, who smashed 49 runs off 21 balls with 7 boundaries. Other players too scored at fast rate, which helped team reach at a big score. Pick of the bowlers was Chaman Yadav from Hatkeshar Ward with 3 wickets.
While chasing, Hatkeshar Ward failed to get a good start and wickets started to fall from early overs. Majority of the players did not manage to go above single digit score against the strong bowling attack from Rampur ward. However, Bhupendar Yadav and Shekfarid played good innings and added useful 27 and 24 runs respectively in fast pace. Since majority of the players failed to deliver, Hatkeshar Ward collapsed in 8.2 overs by scoring 85 runs. Yashwant Chandrkar and Raja T from Rampur ward bowled really well and picked 3 wickets each damaging the batting line up of the opponent terribly.
Rampur Ward registered a 31 run win against Hatkeshar Ward in the final of Ajay T-20 Premier League 2019.
Harish Sahu from Rampur Ward was awarded as the player of the match for his excellent contribution.
