N.C. Sikri Memorial Cup 2019, organized by Legal Cricket League was played between 12th Jan.’19 to 24th Feb.’19 at Delhi.
42 teams from various verticals participated in this much celebrated tournament from which, the crucial final was played between Just Cricket (Legal) and APEX XI (CC) on 24th Feb.’19 at Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium-New Delhi.
APEX XI (CC) won the toss and chose to field. Batting first, Just Cricket (Legal) got a good start with both the opening batsmen Pankaj Chaudhary and Ranjit Kasana scoring 32 and 28 runs respectively at fast pace. Anil Dwedi and Rajnish Singh too contributed well and added 29 and 30 runs respectively helping team put up a competitive score of 161 runs in 20 overs by losing 6 wickets. Pick of the bowler was Rajiv Arora from APEX XI (CC), who picked 3 important wickets in 4 overs.
While replying, Punit and M C Sharma gave APEX XI (CC) a good start by scoring 53 and 21 runs respectively at fast rate. Abhishek Sharma’s impressive knock of 46 runs in just 17 balls put team in a commanding position. Bowling highlights of the innings were Amit Chaudhary and Aditya Shukla, who scalped 3 wickets each interrupting the run-flow of APEX XI (CC) majorly. However, with most of the players contributing significantly in the final chase, team achieved the target in 19.4 overs by losing 7 wickets.
APEX XI (CC) won the final of N.C. Sikri Memorial Cup 2019 by 4 wicket against Just Cricket (Legal).
