Vipra Premier League-3 2019, organized by Vipra College was played between 6th Feb.’19 to 19th Feb.’19 at Raipur.
Out of 20 participant teams, an all-important final was played between Brahmastra and Team Chanakya on 19th Feb.’19 at Vipra College Ground- Raipur.
Team Chanakya opted to bowl first after winning the toss. The decision did not not go much in their favour as Brahmastra put up a huge score of 122 runs in 10 overs by losing 5 wickets. The key contributors were Laxman Sharma and Captain Parth Diwa, who smashed 48 and 53 runs respectively at fast rate helping team reach at a good score for the final clash.
While chasing, Team Chanakya did not get any chance to score well against strong bowling attack from Brahmastra. Wickets started to fall from early wickets and all the players were restricted to single digits only. The chief wrecker was Parth Diwan, who scalped 4 important wickets in 3 overs damaging the batting line up of Team Chanakya terribly. Other bowlers too contributed well as Team Chanakya ended up at a meager score of 51 runs at the end of 10 overs with the loss of 9 wickets.
Brahmastra registered a glorious 71 run win over Team Chanakya in the final of Vipra Premier League- 3 2019.
Parth Diwan from Brahmastra was awarded as the player of the match for his outstanding contribution.
