SSASIT ANNUAL SPORTS Game On 2k19 was organized between 16th Feb.’19 to 19th Feb.’19.
29 teams from different verticals participated in this much cherished tournament from which, an all important final was played between Faculty-1 and 4th Civil-1 on 19th Feb.’19 at SSASIT College- Surat.
4th Civil-1 chose to bowl first winning the toss. Though they managed to take wickets at regular intervals, Faculty-1 scored at a very fast rate and posted a very good score of 82 runs in 8 overs with the loss of 8 wickets. The highest contributor was opening batsman Kaushal Desai, who was on fire as he smashed 42 runs off just 15 balls including 4 boundaries and 4 sixes. Bhavsar Mehul too played a good innings as he added useful 19 runs in 7 ball during crucial overs. Bowling highlight of the innings was Yash Kakadiya from 4th Civil-1, who scalped 4 wickets including important wicket of Kaushal Desai in 2 overs giving only 7 runs.
While replying, 4th Civil-1 had a strong start with both the opening batsmen Jenish Kukadiya and Kunjan Gadhiya scoring 22 and 19 runs respectively at fast pace. Jairaj Gohil too played an excellent innings and added unbeaten 39 runs off 22 balls with 5 boundaries and 2 sixes. Despite their outstanding effort, team fell short of just 2 runs and ended up scoring 80 runs at the end of 8 overs by losing 1 wicket.
Faculty-1 won the final with the close margin of 2 runs against 4th Civil-1 in the final of SSASIT ANNUAL SPORTS Game On 2k19.
Kaushal Desai from Faculty-1 was awarded as the player of the match for his significant contribution.
