Adilabad Champions Trophy 2019 was organized between 26th Jan.’19 to 10th Feb.’19 at Adilabad.
Out of 30 participant teams, an all-important final was played between Telangana Jaagruthi Cricket Club and Javeed X1 United on 10th Feb.’19 at Siri Sports Convention Ground- Adilabad.
Electing to bat, Telangana Jaagruthi Cricket Club posted a good score of 146 runs in 20 overs with the loss of 9 wickets. Rakesh Nayak and Gaddam Sankeerth played a good innings and scored 26 and 27 runs respectively at fast pace. Jayasurya played really well and smashed 26 runs in just 7 balls with 3 boundaries and 2 sixes helping team reach at a competitive score for the final. Other players to contribute significantly by scoring at fast pace. Pick of bowlers was Mohd Karim from Javeed XI United with 2 wickets in 4 overs. While replying, despite losing some important wickets in early overs Javeed XI United chased down the target in 19.5 overs by losing 9 wickets. The key contributor was Vaibhav Chandekar, who smashed 59 runs off 48 balls with 7 boundaries. He was supported well by Akash Kombe from the other end, who added 33 runs at fast pace taking team at a strong position. It was followed by a good innings by Mohd Karim, whose 29 off 17 balls led team close to the final score and team closed the innings at the score of 150 runs with 1 ball remaining.
Javeed XI United won the final of Adilabad Champions Trophy 2019 by 5 wickets against Telangana Jaagruthi Cricket Club.
Mohd Karim from Javeed XI United was awarded as the player of the match for his all-round performance.
