Dhirubhai Ambani Memorial Corporate Tournament 2018-19 was organized between 28th Dec.’19 to 7th Feb.’19 at Dahej and Hyderabad.
21 teams from various departments participated in this much celebrated tournament from which, an all-important final was played between Hindalco and Reliance Industries Ltd. on 7th Fen.’19 at Saraswathi Cricket Ground- Hyderabad.
Electing to bat, Hindalco played really well and posted a good score of 151 runs in 20 overs with the loss of 7 wickets. The key contributor was Deval S Patel, who smashed 70 runs off 39 balls with 8 boundaries and 3 sixes. Amit Gosai too played well and added 24 runs from the other helping team reach at a good score for the final clash.
While replying, Reliance Industries Ltd started to fumble from early overs. None of the players managed to go beyond 10’s, where the highest scorer was Harikumar with 17 runs. Most of the players were dismissed in single digits and team collapsed at the score of 88 runs in 16.4 overs. Deval S Patel from Hindalco bowled an impressive spell of 2/7 in just 1.4 overs damaging the batting line up of Reliance Industries Ltd terribly. Other bowlers too performed well, which resulted in early collpase of the opponent team.
Hindalco registered a big 63 run win over Reliance Industries Ltd. in the final of Dhirubhai Ambani Memorial Corporate Tournament 2018-19.
Deval S Patel from Hindalco was awarded as the player of the match for his all-round contribution.
