One of the most prestigious tournaments organized by Baroda Cricket Association – The 5th Late Shri J.Y. Lele All India U-19 Invitational One Day Tournament 2017-18 started today at Vadodara. 16 Teams from various states of India have come to participate in the tournament.
On Day 1, 8 teams of different states played their first matches. Details for the same is as follows:
Punjab U-19 VS Gujarat U-19 :
The match was played at Railway Cricket Ground. Gujarat U-19 won the toss and elected to field first. Punjab U-19 scored 220 runs in 33 overs by losing 7 wickets. Gujarat U-19 gave good fight but ended up scoring 167 runs by losing all the wicket in 29.2 overs.
Punjab U-19 won the match by 53 runs
BCA U-19 Green VS Saurashtra U-19 :
The match was played at Motafofaliya District Cricket Ground. Saurashtra U-19 won the toss and elected to field first. BCA U-19 scored 223 runs in 50 overs by losing all wickets. Saurashtra U-19 played a good innings while replying and reached to the target in 49.1 overs. It was an exciting match till the last over.
Saurashtra U-19 won the match by 1 wicket.
Mumbai U-19 VS Madhya Pradesh U-19:
The match was played at Motibaug Cricket Ground. Mumbai U-19 won the toss and elected to bat. The team scored 226 runs in 50 overs by losing 9 wickets. Madhya Pradesh U-19 played extremely well and achieved the target in just 38.3 with the loss of 2 wickets.
Madhya Pradesh U-19 won the match by 8 wickets.
Kerala U-19 VS BCA U-19 Red:
The match was played at Reliance Cricket Stadium. BCA U-19 won the toss and elected to field. Kerala U-19 scored 210 runs in 50 overs by losing 9 wickets. Match reduced to 20 overs by using DLS method and the target given to BCA U-19 was 106 runs. The team managed to score 106 runs in 18.5 overs after losing 5 wickets.
BCA U-19 Red won the match by 5 wickets.
