Sai 11 Presented Late Ganpatravji Morge Trophy 2019 was played between 12th Jan.’19 to 27th Jan.’19 at Nanded.
40 teams from various cities participated in this highly followed tournament from which, an all-important final was played between Jain Irrigation Jalgaon and Johar C.C Nanded on 27th Jan.’19 at Shri Guru Gobindsingh Stadium - Nanded.
Electing to bat, Jain Irrigation Jalgaon got an excellent start as opening batsman Pradyumn Mahajan smashed unbeaten 71 runs off 57 balls including 6 boundaries. The other major contributor was Hrishikesh Kale, who added useful 41 runs at fast rate helping team reach at a good score of 154 runs at the end of 20 overs by losing 4 wickets. None of the bowlers from Johar C.C Nanded managed to restrict the run-flow of Jain Irrigation Jalgaon, however, Shahid Siddiqui managed to pick 2 important wickets.
While replying, Johar C.C Nanded did not manage to get a good start and wickets started to fall from early overs. Highest scorer was Niraj Shimre with 38 runs. The other players, who managed to reach at double digit scores were Abhishek Katariya and Madhur Patel with 21 and 26 runs respectively. However, remaining players failed to prove their mettle and team crumbled at the score of 116 runs in 17.2 overs. Almost all the bowlers of Jain Irrigation Jalgaon performed really well but pick of the lot was Rahul Nimbhore, who scalped 3 important wickets in 3 overs. Gavande Amit and Ghanshyam Chaudhari too chipped in with 3 wickets each, which dismantled the batting line up of Johar C.C Nanded completely.
Jain Irrigation Jalgaon posted a 38 run win over Johar C.C Nanded in the final of Sai 11 Presented Late Ganpatravji Morge Trophy 2019.
Pradyumn Mahajan from Jain Irrigation Jalgaon was awarded as the player of the match for his outstanding contribution.
