Rajpurohit Cricket League Season-4 2019, organized by Rajpurohit Yuva Club Surat was played between 22nd Jan.’19 to 26th Jan.’19 at Surat.
Out of the 16 participant teams, the crucial final of this much celebrated tournament was played between Ashapuri Avengers and Bajrang Cricket Club on 26th Jan.’19 at NK Pandav Cricket Ground- Surat.
Electing to bat, Ashapuri Avengers got a good start with opening batsman Captain KP smashing 41 runs off 22 balls with 6 boundaries and 1 six. The other major contributor was Jeetu Singh Kherapa, who scored 47 runs at fast rate. Tejpal Singh supported him well from the other side by adding 24 runs in 20 balls. Almost all the players contributed significatly and team managed to put up a big score of 190 run at the end of 20 overs by losing 7 wickets. Pick of the bowlers was Bharat from Bajrang Cricket Club with 2 wickets.
While chasing, Bajrang Cricket Club too started very well as both the opening batsmen Kunal Rajpurohit and Mangal Raigur scoring 30 and 28 runs respectively at fast rate. It was followed by a strong innings by Bharat, who scored 48 runs off 33 balls with 6 boundaries. Pramod Purohit too contributed well with useful 25 runs in 14 balls helping team reach close to the target. However, despite trying well team failed to score at required rate and ended up scoring 169 runs in 20 overs with the loss of 9 wickets. Bowling highlight of the innings were Sujansingh Asotra and Jeetu Singh Kherapa with 2 wickets each.
Ashapur Avengers won the final of Rajpurohit Cricket League Season-4 by 21 runs against Bajrang Cricket Club.
Jeetu Singh Kherapa from Ashapuri Avengers was awarded as the player of the match for his all-round show.
