SBT10 International Season- 3 - Hamidi Cup, organized by Burhani Sports was played between 19th Jan.’19 to 25th Jan.’19 at Sharjah.
21 teams from various countries participated in this heavily followed tournament from which, an all-important final was played between Coimbatore Super Kings and Dubai Sultans on 25th Jan.’19 at Shariah Cricket Stadium -Sharjah.
Opting to bat first, Coimbatore Super Kings posted a good score of 111 in 10 overs with the loss of 5 wickets. The major contributor was Aliasgar Quilonwala, who smashed 51 runs off 31 balls with 4 boundaries and 1 six. Other players too scored at fast rate helping team reach at a competitive score for the final clash. Pick of the bowlers was Abbas Modi from Dubai Sultans with 2 wickets.
While replying, Dubai Sultans gave a very good fight with almost all the players contributing well for the final chase. Opening batsman Abbas Badri gave team a good start by scoring 38 runs off 20 balls with 1 boundary and 4 sixes. It was followed by wonderful innings by Hatim Patwa, who added unbeaten 36 runs off 15 balls leading team towarding victory. He was supported well by Yusuf Hamidi from the other end, whose crucial 28 runs at fast pace played an important role in helping team reach at the target of 112 runs in 10 overs by losing 4 wickets. Pick of the bowlers was Huzefa Patel from Coimbatore Super Kings, who picked 2 important wickets in 4 overs.
Dubai Sultans registered a 6 wicket win over Coimbatore Super Kings in the final of SBT10 International Season-3 - Hamidi Cup.
Hatim Patwa from Dubai Sultans was awarded as the player of the match for his excellent contribution.
