MYMPL 2019, organized by Mym Tezpur was played between 18th Jan.’19 to 20th Jan.’19 at Tezpur.
Out of the 6 participant teams, the crucial final was played between Sonitpur Strikers and Brahmaputra Thunders on 20th Jan.’19 at TDCA- Tezpur.
Electing to bat, Sonitpur Strikers played at fast rate and posted a good score of 100 runs in 12 overs by losing 7 wickets. Highest run-getter was Anurag Lohia, who smashed 47 runs off 25 balls with 1 boundary and 6 sixes. Nameet too played well from the other end and added 26 runs off 20 balls helping team put up a competitive score for the final clash. Pick of the bowlers was Ashish Agarwal from Brahmaputra Thunders with 2 wickets.
While chasing, Brahmaputra Thunders got an excellent start with opening batsman Piyush Joshi scoring unbeaten 56 runs off 28 balls with 7 boundaries and 4 sixes. He was supported well by Madhur Bothra , who added useful 41 runs in just 18 balls leading team straight to the final win. With their stable partnership, team reached at the score of 104 runs in just 8.1 overs with the loss of 1 wicket.
Brahmaputra Thunders registered a glorious 9 wicket win over Sonitpur Strikers in the final of MYMPL 2019.
