S.C.K.A PREMIER LEAGUE SEASION -1 2018-2019 was organized between 5th Jan.’19 to 19th Jan.’19 at Bellary.
Out of 7 participant teams, the crucial final of this much celebrated tournament was played between Antapura Hunter and Meti Boys on 19th Jan.’19 at Kodal Road- Bellary.
Opting to bat first, Antapura Hunter started well with both the opening batsmen Ramanjini .K and Malikarjuna S scoring 17 and 22 runs respectively at fast rate. It was followed by a wonderful innings from Manjunath A, who added useful 23 runs off 18 balls with 2 boundaries and 2 six. However, team went through a dramatic collapse after his dismissal as none of the remaining players managed to go beyond single digits, where majority of them failed to score even a single run. Team crumbled at the score of 80 runs in 12.4 overs. Ajay Raj’s outstanding bowling was the main reason behind Antapura Hunters sudden fall as he scalped 5 wickets in 4 overs giving just 9 runs. Divakara too contributed well by picking up 4 more wickets restricting opponent at a low score.
While chasing, Meti Boys played an excellent innings and chased down the target in just 9.2 overs by losing 2 wickets. Opening batsman Guru Meti gave team a good start by scoring 26 runs off 15 balls. He was supported well by Goolappa K from the other end, who added 31 runs at fast pace taking team close to the final win.
Meti Boys registered a glorious 8 wicket win over Antapur Hunter in the final of S.C.K.A PREMIER LEAGUE SEASION -1 2018-2019.
