Maheshwari Yuva Sangathan was organized between 11th Jan.’19 to 13th Jan.’19 at Nadiad.
24 teams from various cities participated in this much cherieshed tournament from which, the final was played between Sawaliya Seth XI (Ahmedabad) and MCC (Baroda) on 13th Jan.’19 at New Shorok Ground- Nadiad.
MCC (Baroda) won the toss and elected to bowl first. The decision did not go in their favour as Sawaliya Seth XI (Ahmedabad) played well and posted a good score of 126 runs in 14 overs by losing 5 wickets. The key contributor was Harshit, who scored unbeaten 39 runs off 28 balls with 4 boundaries and 1 six. The other major contributor was Raghav Kothari, who added 23 runs off 25 balls. With almost all the players contributing significantly, team managed to put up a competitive score of 126 runs for the final clash. Pick of the bowlers was Shreekant from MCC (Baroda) with 2 wickets.
While chasing, MCC (Baroda) started to fumble from early overs. None of the players managed to go beyond 10’s against the strong bowling attack from Sawaliya Seth XI (Ahmedabad) and team bundled up scoring 81 runs in 12 overs. The chief wrecker was Parth Shah from Sawaliya Seth XI (Ahmedabad), who scalped 4 wickets in 3 overs. Mitul too bowled well and picked 3 important wickets damaging the batting line up of MCC (Baroda) completely.
Sawaliya Seth XI posted a glorious 45 run win over MCC (Baroda) in the final of Maheshwari Yuva Sangathan.
