4th NCA Inter-school Tournament 2018-19 was organized between 25th Dec.’18 to 12th Jan.’19 at Nashik.
24 teams from various schools participated in this much cherished tournament from which, the crucial final was played between New Era High School and Delhi Public School on 12th Jan.’19 at Nashik Cricket Academy- Nashik.
Delhi Public School won the toss and chose to field. Batting first, New Era High School played a good innings with most of the players contributing significantly in the final score. Highest contributor was Om Hire, who scored 51 off 97 balls including 7 boundaries. Devang Shinde and Suchit Raut too played well and added 30 and 20 runs respectively helping team reach at a reasonable score of 161 runs in 40 overs with the loss of 6 wickets. Bowling highlight of the innings was Shlok Kalpesh Bhandarkar from Delhi Public School, who picked 3 important wickets in 8 overs giving only 29 runs.
While chasing, despite losing their first wicket early, Delhi Public School played an excellent innings and chased down the target in just 29.2 overs by losing 2 wickets. Opening batsman Rohit Purohit and Captain Ansh Dhoot were the key contributors, who performed extremely well and added 64 and 69 runs respectively leading team straight to the final win without any struggle.
Delhi Public School registered a glorious 8 wicket win over New Era High School in the final of NCA Inter-school Tournament 2018-19.
Rohit Purohit from Delhi Public School was awarded as the player of the match for his outstanding contribution.
