KEC Champions League 2018-19, organized by KEC- Jaipur between 9th Jan.’19 to 11th Jan.’19 at Jaipur.
6 teams from different cities participated in this much cherished tournament from which, the crucial final was played between KEC Butibori and Vadodara Cables on 11th Jan.’19 at Jaipuria Cricket Stadium- Jaipur.
Vadodara Cables won the toss and opted to field. Batting first, KEC Butibori posted a reasonable score of 93 runs at the end of 15 overs by losing 7 wickets. The highest scorer was Rohit Bakamwar, who scored 29 runs off 15 balls with 5 boundaries and 1 six. The other major contributors were Vallabh Saklani and Mayank Kumar Tiwari with 21 and 18 runs respectively. Pick of the bowlers was Ashish Dubey from Vadodara Cables, who picked 2 wickets in 3 overs giving 13 runs.
While chasing, Vadodara Cables did not manage to get a good start as team lost some important wickets in early overs. Most of the players were dismissed in single digits, where the highest scorer was Sumit Mishra with 18 runs. Team collapsed in 14.2 overs at the score of 75 runs. Almost all the bowlers of KEC Butibori performed really well, but the pick of the lot was Ashhar Khan, who scalped 3 wickets 3 overs. Rohit Bakamwar and Vishal Varma too chipped in with 2 wickets each damaging the batting line up of Vadodara Cables completely.
