Gajendragad Ron Taluka Premier League 2018-19 was organized between 23rd Dec.’18 to 6th Jan.’19 at Gajendragarh.
Out of 8 participant teams, the crucial final of this much celebrated tournament was played between Durga Boys and A Super Kings on 6th Jan.’19 at Manthri Ground- Gajenragarh.
Opting to bat, Durga Boys posted a competitive score of 92 runs in 12 overs with the loss of 8 wickets. Highest scorer was Sachin Nalatwas, who scored 32 runs off 26 balls with 2 boundaries and 2 sixes. The other major contributors were Prakash Rathod and Rakesh, who added 18 and 13 runs respectively at fast rate. Pick of the bowlers was Manju Rathod from A Super Kings, who picked 3 wickets in 3 overs giving 13 runs restricting Durga Boys from putting up a big score.
While chasing, none of the players from A Super Kings managed to score beyond 10’s and team ended up scoring 78 runs at the end of 12 overs by losing 7 wickets. Highest contribution came from Basu Talikoti, who added 14 runs in 13 balls. All the bowlers of Durga Boys performed extremely well picking up wickets at regular intervals, which reduced their pace to a big extent. However, pick of the lot was Manjunath Nanadapur, who picked 2 wickets during crucial overs damaging batting line up of A Super Kings badly.
Durga Boys won the final of Gajendragad Ron Taluka Premier League 2018-19 by 14 runs against A Super Kings.
