NPL -6 Nokha Premier League organized by Nokha Nagarik Sangh was played between 24th Dec.’18 to 30th Dec.’18 at Kolkata.
An all important final of this much celebrated tournament was played on 30th Dec.’18 between Nokha Sunrisers and Nokha Shinings at Salt Lake FC Ground- Kolkata.
Opting to bat, Nokha Sunrisers posted a very good score of 210 run in 25 overs by losing 8 wickets. Team started well with opening batsman Gajendra Mundhara scoring 33 runs at stable pace. However, the major contributors were Captain Lalit Mundhara and Arihant Bhura, who scored 74 and 52 runs at fast rate helping team close at a big score.
While chasing, Nokha Shinings failed to get a good start and lost some important wickets in early overs. However, remaining players gave a good fight till the last over but did not manage to score at required pace. The highest scorers were Mahesh Sain Watson and Abhishek Bagri with 31 and 22 runs respectively. Despite trying well, team ended up scoring 148 runs at the end of 25 overs by losing 8 overs. Pick of the bowlers was Debu Rathi from Nokha Sunrisers, who bowled an impressive spell of 3/21 in 5 overs.
Nokha Sunrisers posted a 62 run win over Nokha Shinings in the final of NPL -6 Nokha Premier League.
Lalit Mundhara from Nokha Sunrisers was awarded as the player of the match for his significant contribution.
