EC Cricket Academy Trichy Future T20 Cup (Dist. Inter School) 2017-18 was played from 12th Aug’17 to 1st Sept’17. The final of the tournament was played between Boys HR Sec School and Champion School at SVV School Koothur- Thiruchirapalli.
Boys HR Sec School won the toss and decided to bat. The team did not get a good start as the opening batsman, S. Krishnamoorthi was out on the very first ball. Though N. Selladurai and S.J. Abu Shajjith (c) tried to add to the score steadily, none of the other players managed to contribute much for the final score. The team collapsed at 76 runs in 18.4 overs by losing all wickets. Bowling highlights of the innings were K.S.Barath Rithvik and K.Raja Vignesh from Champion School, who took 3 and 2 wickets respectively by giving very less runs.
While chasing, though the target was not very tough, Champion School too had some early jitters. Boys HR Sec School tried their best as they manage to take the wickets at regular intervals. Since the target was not very difficult to achieve, Champion School managed to reach at 79 runs in 15.1 overs. Highest scorer was F. Joy Harren (wk), who scored 32 runs in 29 balls.
Champion School won the final by 4 wickets against Boys HR Sec School!!
