Rajamahendravaram Premier League 2018 was organized between 29th Nov.’18 to 20th Dec.’18 at Rajamahendravaram.
Out of 12 participant teams, an all-important final of this much cherished tournament was played between Ajjarappu Lions RPL and Hunting Tigers on 20th Dec.’18 at Arts College Ground-Rajamahendravaram.
Electing to bat, Ajjarapu Lions RPL started well with opening batsman Murali Vsp scoring 37 runs off 30 balls with 6 boundaries. M. Srinivas and Satish Padala too played well and added 29 and 31 runs respectively at fast pace. With most of the players contributing well, team posted a good score of 146 runs in 18 overs by losing 8 wickets. Pick of the bowlers was Sekhar from Hunting Tigers with 2 wickets.
While chasing, Hunting Tigers got a good start with Nagendra Sai scoring 67 runs off 52 balls with 6 boundaries and 2 sixes. However, other players did not manage to stay strong on crease for a long time and team started to lose wickets at regular intervals. The other player, who managed to score well was Vinay with 30 runs in 28 balls. Remaining wickets fell in quick succession after his dismissal and team bundled up scoring 136 runs in 17.5 overs. Pick of the bowlers was Shiva Sagar with 3 wickets.
Ajjarapu Lions RPL won the final of Rajamahendravaram Premier League 2018 by 10 runs against Hunting Tigers.
Murali VSP from Ajjarapu Lions RPL was awarded as the player of the match for his significant contribution.
