IPL - Itwa Premier League 2018 was organized between 10th Nov.’18 to 9th Dec.’18 at Siddharthnagar.
17 teams from various verticals participated in this much celebrated tournament from which, the final was played between Nawanagar Cricket Club and Razi Sports Azamgarh on 9th Dec.’18 at Mata Parshad Inter College Ground- ITWA , Siddharthnagar.
Razi Sports Azamgarh won the toss and elected to field. Batting first, Nawanagar Cricket Club played a wonderful innings and posted a big score of 207 runs in 20 overs by losing 5 wickets. Most of the players contributed significantly, which helped team reach at a good score. Highest scorers were Basheer and Harshit Yadav, who scored 52 and 46 runs respectively at fast pace. None of the bowlers from Razi Sports Azamgarh managed to restrict the run-flow of Nawanagar Cricket Club.
While replying, Razi Sports Azamgarh failed to prove their mettle and team started to lose wickets from early overs. None of the players managed to stay on crease against the strong bowling attack from Nawanagar Cricket Club. Highest run-getter was Karan Singh, who made 20 runs in 16 balls with 1 boundary and 2 sixes. However, remaining players were dismissed in 10’s and team collapsed making 102 runs in 14.3 overs. Rocky Singh from Nawanagar Cricket Club bowled exceptionally well and picked 5 wicket in just 2.3 overs rattling the rival’s boat completely. Rajat Singh and Shahbaz Hunter too chipped in 2 wickets each damaging the batting line up of Razi Sports Azamgarh completely.
Nawanagar Cricket Club registered a glorious 105 run win over Razi Sports Azamgarh in the final of IPL- ITWA Premier League 2018.
Basheer from Nawanagar Cricket Club was awarded as the player of the match for his significant contribution.
