Designers Supercricket League 2018 Season- 4 was organized between 26th Nov.’18 and 2nd Dec.’18 at Pune.
Out of the 20 participant teams, the final of this heavily followed tournament was played between Entree Vikings and Veeras Lions on 2nd Dec.’18 at S.D. Katariya High School - Pune.
Veera Lions won the toss and decided to bowl first. Batting first, despite getting a poor start, Entree Vikings managed to put up a decent score of 88 runs at the end of 12 overs with the loss of 9 wickets. The major contributors were Nikhil Jain and Snehit Gadiya, who scored 21 and 18 runs respectively at fast pace helping team reach at a competitive score. Pick of the bowlers were Tushar Jadhav and Shivraj Surve from Veeras Lions with 2 wickets each.
While replying, Veeras Lions got a wonderful start with Alnesh Somji and Jagdish Sure scoring 21 and 42 runs respectively taking team close to the target. However, team faced a dramatic fall of wickets after their dismissal, which reduced the pace and team fell short of 7 runs from reaching at the target of 88 runs. Bowling highlight of the innings was Faraz Quereshi from Entree Vikings, who picked 2 important wickets in crucial overs proved to be the game changer for his team.
Entree Vikings had a thrilling 7 run win over Veeras Lions in the final of Designers Supercricket League 2018 Season-4 2018.
Jagdish Sure from Veeras Lions was awarded as the player of the match for his wonderful contribution.
