Abugoad Premier League 2018- organized by Abugoad Jain Youth Foundation Trust Mumbai was played between 17th Nov.’18 to 2nd Dec.’18 at Mumbai.
Out of the 6 participant teams, an all-important final of this much celebrated tournament was played between MRS Sisodiya Kings and President XI on 2nd Dec.’18 at Wilson Gymkhana- Mumbai.
Electing to bat, MRS Sisodiya Kings started well with opening batsman Saiyam Arvindkumar Jain scoring 25 runs off 19 balls with 4 boundaries. Though remaining players did not managed to stay strong against effective bowling strategy from President XI and team started to lose wickets at regular intervals. Most of the players were dismissed in 10’s and team ended up scoring 107 runs in 12 overs by losing 8 wickets. Pick of the bowlers was Sanket Jain from President XI, who scalped 3 wickets in 3 overs.
While chasing, President XI played a wonderful innings and chased down the target in just 10.3 overs by losing 3 wickets. One of the opening batsmen Jigar Karnawat was the key contributor as he smashed 48 runs in just 28 balls with 4 boundaries and 2 sixes taking taking team to a strong position. He was supported well from the other end by Aman V Sanghavi, who added 17 runs in 10 balls. With almost all the players contributing significantly team reached at the score of 109 runs without any hassles.
President XI registered an easy 7 wicket win over MRS Sisodiya Kings in the final of Abugoad Premier League 2018.
Jigar Karnawat from President XI was awarded as the player of the match for his outstanding contribution.
