DNF Premier League-2018 was organized between 21st Nov.’18 to 29th Nov.’18 at New Delhi.
10 teams from various hospitals participated in this much cherished tournament from which, an all-important final was played between GTBH and AIIMS Delhi on 29th Nov.’18 at Sant Sujan Ji International School Ground- New Delhi.
Electing to bat, GTBH did not manage to get a good start. Though Captain Shijo John, who came to play on 3rd position played well and scored 28 runs off 26 balls with 2 sixes. However, other players failed to perform well against the strong bowling attack of AIIMS Delhi as majority of the players were dismissed in single digits. Team closed at the score of 69 runs at the end of 15 overs by losing 8 wickets. Almost all the bowlers of AIIMS Delhi bowled well but pick of the lot was Vinit Raj, who picked 2 wickets in 4 overs giving only 9 runs.
While replying, despite getting a slow start, AIIMS Delhi managed to chase down the target in 13.1 overs with the loss of 5 wickets. Highest scorers were Vinit Raj and Gaurav, who scored 14 and 21 runs respectively. Pick of the bowlers was Blesson Britto from GTBS with 3 wickets.
AIIMS Delhi posted a 5 wicket win over GTBH in the final of DNF Premier League-2018.
Gaurav from AIIMS Delhi was awarded as the player of the match for his all-round performance.
