Gulmohar Trophy 2018 - organized by Gulmohar Group of Industries & Gulmohar Cricket Club was played between 9th Nov.’18 and 23th Nov.’18 at Solapur.
58 teams from various verticals participated in this much celebrated tournament, from which the crucial final was played between Diamond CC and Mayur Kaka 11 on 23rd Nov.’18 at Shasakiya Ground- Solapur.
Mayur Kaka 11 won the toss and elected to field. Batting first, Diamond CC posted a reasonable score of 47 runs in 6 overs by losing 5 wickets. Highest run-getters were Pallu Medha and Dhiraj Koli, who scored 17 and 13 runs at fast pace. Pick of the bowlers was Ranjit Paul from Mayur Kaka 11, who picked 2 wickets in 2 overs.
While replying, Vitthal Chauhan started well as he smashed 35 runs in just 9 balls with 5 boundaries and 2 sixes taking team very close to the target. Aamir Shaikh supported him well from the other end by adding unbeaten 13 runs in 4 balls taking team straight to the victory. Mayur Kaka 11 reached at the score of 50 runs in just 2.2 overs with the loss of 3 wickets.
Mayur Kaka 11 posted a 7 wicket win over Diamond CC in the final of Gulmohar Trophy 2018.
Vitthal Chauhan from Mayur Kaka 11 was awarded as the player of the match for his outstanding contribution.
