Sahajanand Winter Cup -5 - organized by SGVP Surya Sports Academy was played between 28th Oct.’18 to 24th Nov.’18 at Ahmedabad. Out of 34 participant teams, the crucial final was played between Bajarangi XI - Satellite and L K Star- Rajkot on 24th Nov.’18 at SGVP Cricket Ground- Ahmedabad.
Electing to bat, Kuldip Patel gave Bajarangi XI- Satellite a good start by scoring 34 runs off 34 balls with 2 boundaries and 1 six. However, none of the other players managed to score really well and team started to lose wickets at regular intervals. Urvish Thummar (17) and Kapil Solanki (12) were the only 2 players, reached in double digits and team ended up scoring 75 runs at the end of 12 overs by losing 7 wickets. Bowling highlight of the innings was Kamal Jadeja from L K Star- Rajkot, who picked 2 wickets in 3 overs by giving 10 runs.
While chasing, Captain Arjun Jadeja started well as he scored 20 runs at fast pace. Kuldeep Raval too played well and added useful 20 runs during crucial overs. Since the target was not very difficult to defend, L K Star- Rajkot chased down the target without much struggle in 10.2 overs with the loss of 5 wickets. Pick of the bowlers was Dipen Talati from Bajarangi XI- Satellite with 2 wickets.
