One of the most followed tournaments of Bharveli - Bharweli Cricket League 2018 organized by BCL was played between 10th Nov.’18 to 24th Nov.’18.
Out of 10 participant teams, the final of this much cherished tournament was played between Patel Tiger and Dragon Knight Rider on 23rd Nov.’18 at Durga Chowk- Bharweli.
Electing to bat, Patel Tiger played an excellent innings and posted a big score of 173 runs in 10 overs with the loss of 5 wickets. Major contributors were Almas Patel and Anam Baba with 50 and 51 runs respectively at fast rate. The other players too contributed significantly, which helped team reach at a good score. Pick of the bowlers was Shavee Das from Dragon Knight Riders with 2 wickets.
While replying, Dragon Knight Rider failed to give a good fight and crumbled in just 9.4 overs by making 48 runs. Pankaj Patle was the only player, who reached upto double digit score and added 20 runs single handedly out of total 48 runs that team scored. None of the remaining players managed to score well against strong bowling attack from Patel Tiger and were dismissed in single digits. Pick of the bowlers was Robin Singh Lilhare from Patel Tiger, who picked 3 wickets in 2 overs by giving only 4 runs. Ravi Sinha and Dharamraj Banote too chipped in with 2 wickets each damaging the batting line up of Dragon Knight Riders completely.
Patel Tiger won the final of Bharweli Cricket League 2018 with the huge margin of 125 runs against Dragon Knight Riders.
Almas Patel from Patel Tiger was awarded as the player of the match for his outstanding performance.
