One of the most cherished tournaments of Jaipur- Jaipur Monsoon League U-14 2018 was organized between 10th Aug.’18 to 24th Nov.’18.
12 teams for various cricket academies participated in this tournament from which, an all-important final was played between Rajeev Gandhi Cricket Academy and Rajasthan Cricket Club on 24th Nov.’18 at Panther Cricket Stadium- Jaipur.
Rajasthan Youth Club won the toss and elected to field. Their decision did not go much in their favour as Rajeev Gandhi Cricket Academy played well and posted a competitive score of 215 runs at the end of 45 overs by losing 6 wickets. The key contributor was Manay Kataria, who put up a big score of 113 runs off 138 balls with 13 fours and 3 sixes. Other players too contributed significantly, which helped team reach at a good score for the final clash. Pick of the bowlers was Ravi Sharma from Rajasthan Youth Club with 2 wickets.
While chasing, Rajasthan Youth Club too gave a good fight but did not manage to score at required pace. Despite a poor start, Rakesh Jakhar and Jitendra Dhaka tried really well and added 50 and 69 runs respectively helping team reach at a stable position. However, remaining players failed to prove their mettle and team ended up scoring 174 runs in 45 overs with the loss of 6 wickets. Almost all the bowlers of Rajeev Gandhi Cricket Academy performed well but pick of the lot was Sahil Singh, whose 3/24 in 9 overs proved instrumental in the victory of Rajiv Gandhi Cricket Academy.
Rajeev Gandhi Cricket Academy registered a glorious 41 run win over Rajasthan Youth Club in the final of Jaipur Monsoon League U-14 2018.
