Guru Nanak Cricket Cup 2018 was organized between 18th Nov.’18 to 23rd Nov.’18 at Marwar.
Out of the 14 participant teams, an all-important final of this much cherished tournament was played between Sreri and Beawar 1 on 23rd Nov.’18 at Chapriya Ground- Marwar.
Electing to bat, Sreri did not manage to get a good start and started to lose wickets from early overs. However, Ashok Banjara and Ravi Banjara tried really well and added 23 and 41 runs respectively at fast pace. Since other players failed to reach at double digit score, team collapsed making 94 runs in 15.2 overs. The chief wrecker was Jora Ram Mama from Beawar 1, who scalped 4 important wickets, which hampered batting line up of Sreri badly. Ghanshyam Gawariya too chipped in with 3 wickets resulted in early collapse of Sreri.
While replying, despite facing some early blows team managed to chase down the target in 15 overs with the loss of 8 wickets. Opening batsman Ganpat played a very good innings and scored 27 runs off 20 balls with 3 boundaries and 1 six. Dhanraj too played well and added useful 14 runs in 12 balls during crucial overs leading team towards final win. Pick of the bowlers was Shobhalal from Sreri, who picked 3 wickets in 3 overs.
Beawar 1 registered a 2 wicket win over Sreri in the final of Guru Nanak Cricket Cup 2018.
Jora Ram Mama from Beawar 1 was awarded as the player of the match for his significant contribution.
