Chanda District League 2018-19- organized by Chandrapur District Cricket Association was played between 2nd Nov.’18 to 18th Nov.’18 at Chandrapur.
16 teams from various verticals participated in this much celebrated tournament from which, the final was played between Silver Stone and White Ash on 18th Nov.’18 at Youth Cricket Academy Ground- Chandrapur.
White Ash won the toss and elected to field. Batting first, Silver Stone posted a reasonable score of 110 runs in 18.1 overs by losing all the wickets. The key contributor was opening batsman Swapnil Shinde, who smashed 51 runs off 40 balls with 10 boundaries. However, other players did not manage to stay strong against the effective bowling attack from White Ash. None of the remaining players went beyond 10’s and team collapsed in 18.1 overs making 110 runs. Manish Thakur from White Ash bowled extremely well as he picked 4 important wickets in 4 overs damaging the batting line up of Silver Stone badly. Imran Sheikh and Rajik Sheikh to chipped in with 3 wickets, which rattled the rivals boat completely.
While replying, White Ash started well with both opening batsmen Sanket and Imran Sheikh scoring 25 and 31 runs respectively at fast rate, which was followed by strong innings by Mahesh Jumnake (22) and Anand Keshwani (18) that led team straight towards the final win without much hassle. Pick of the bowlers was Imran Siddiqui from Silver Stone with 2 wickets.
An all-round White Ash registered 6 wicket win over Silver Stone in the final of Chanda District League 2018-19.
Imran Sheikh from White Ash was awarded as the player of the match for his significant contribution.
