Seniour XI Sholipora Crowned As Champions!!
The final of much celebrated Sholipora Premier League 2017 was played between Seniour XI Sholipora and R.C.C. Abadpora at Karam Dar Stadium- Budgam on 17th Aug’17.
R.C.C. Abodpora won the toss and decided to field first. Batting first, Seniour XI Sholipora has put up a good show by scoring 227 runs in 20 overs by losing 9 wickets. The outstanding partnership between Farooz ah and Ajaz g, who scored 46 and 66 runs respectively took the team to a commendable total. Suju was the pick of the bowlers taking 3 wickets in 3 overs. However, he lacked the support from the other end and R.C.C Abodapora failed to restrict the run flow of opponent team.
Chasing 228 runs in the final was not an easy task for R.C.C Abodpora. However, the batting line up was good and they’ve tried to give a strong fight for the final win. Suhail Pal and Syed Mudasir were the highest scorers, who have scored 36 and 38 runs respectively during the crucial overs of the match. But effective bowling by Nissar Shaikh and Aqib ah, who took 4 and 3 wickets respectively stopped R.C.C. Abodpora from reaching to the target. The whole team packed off in 189 runs at the end of 20 overs.
Seniour XI Sholipora won the final of Sholipora Premier League 2017 by 38 runs.
Prize distribution ceremony was graced by honorable MLA Mr. Agha Syed Rahulla. The other guests presented at the ceremony were District Commissioner Budgam, Assistant Commissioner Development Budgam and Block Development Officer Watrihail.
