Mali Premier League 2018 was organized between 9th Nov.’18 to 14th nov.’18 at Balotra.
Out of 27 participant teams, an all-important final of this much cherished tournament was played between Team Mahatma Jyoti Baa Phule and Sursagar Jethantri on 14th Nov.’18 at Mahatma Jyotibaa Phule Stadium- Balotra.
Electing to bat, Team Mahatma Jyoti Baa Phule did not manage to put up a big score for the final. The highest scorer was Virendra, who scored unbeaten 19 runs off 24 balls. However, remaining players failed to prove their mettle and team ended up scoring 76 runs at the end of 12 overs by losing 8 wickets. Pick of the bowlers was Prashant from Sursagar Jethrantri, who picked 2 important wickets in 3 overs.
While chasing, despite getting a poor start Sursagar Jethantri managed to achieve the target in 10.8 overs after losing 8 wickets. There was no major contributor but 4 players added 14 runs each helping team reach at the target, which strangely was the highest score of the innings. However, Jitendra Gehlot reached at the score of 14 runs in just 7 balls by hitting 2 boundaries and 1 six. Mahendra from Mahatma Jyoti Baa Phule bowled exceptionally well and scalped 5 wickets in 3 overs, which made the target difficult to achieve for Sursagar Jethantri.
Sursagar Jethantri won the final of Mali Premier League 2018 by 2 wickets against Team Mahatma Jyoti Baa Phule.
