Devipatan Premier League- 2018 was organized between 1st Nov.’18 to 6th Nov.’18 at Gonda.
An all-important final of this much cherished tournament was played between Devendra Honda Lions and Kings Bharat Enterprises on 6th Nov.’18 at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium-Gonda.
Devendra Honda Lions won the toss and elected to bat. The decision did not seem to go much in their favour as team started to lose wickets from early overs. None of the players managed to stay strong against the strong bowling attack from Kings Bharat Enterprises and most of them were dismissed in single digits and team collapsed at a meager score of 93 runs in 21.2 overs. Highest scorer was Parivesh Tripathi, who made 20 runs off 21 balls. All the bowlers of Kings Bharat Enterprises performed really well but pick of the lot was Ritesh Singh, who scalped 3 important wickets in 4.2 overs . Anupam Shukla too chipped in with 2 wickets in 2 overs damaging the batting line up of Devendra Honda Lions completely.
While chasing, Kings Bharat Enterprises achieved the target without any hassles as team started well with the strong innings by Dhananjay Yadav, who scored unbeaten 35 runs off 40 balls with 4 boundaries. He was supported well from the other end by Akshay, who added useful 50 runs at fast pace leading team straight to the final win. Kings Bharat enterprises reached at the score of 97 runs in just 14.3 runs by losing 1 wicket.
