2nd Qualifier of EDHI SUPER LEAGUE was played between two promising teams - RISING STARS (ELS) and MIGHTY TIGERS (ESL) at Jahaz Ground, Rawalpindi on 4th August 2017.
RISING STARS (ESL) won the toss and elected to bat first. Despite of a few early jitters, the decision proved quite in favor of the team as Raja Ubaid and Adeel Khan were in the best form and scored 80 and 40 runs respectively. The team closed at the very good score of 179 runs at the end of 16 overs by losing 6 wickets. Bowling highlight of the inning was Osama Quereshi who took 3 wickets in 4 overs.
While chasing the difficult score of 179 runs, MIGHTY TIGERS (ESL) had a good start with Kashi Satting hitting 40 runs in just 13 balls. But Gulfraz Akhter’s outstanding bowling performance snatched the game from the hands of MIGHTY TIGERS (ESL). He took 5 important wickets in just 3 overs and the team collapsed at 143 runs in 14.3 overs by losing all wickets.
RISING STARS (ESL) won the crucial qualifier by 36 runs and entered in finals.
