One of the most cherished tournaments of Chennai- Rajasthan Cricket League 2018 was played between 19th Aug.’18 to 14th Oct.’18.
14 teams from various communities participated in this much celebrated tournament from which, the crucial final was played between Mafia Jain’s and Kheteshwar Sports Club on 14th Oct.’18 STAG Cricket Ground- Chennai.
Kheteshwar Sports Club won the toss and elected to field. The decision did not seem to go well for them as Mafia Jain’s played a good innings and posted a big score of 165 runs at the end of 20 overs with the loss of 5 wickets. Highest scorers were Maan K Bafna, who scored 59 runs in 36 balls with 10 boundaries giving team a very good start despite an early blow in the form of Rahul Solanki. Preet supported him well from the other end as he added stable 35 runs in 43 balls. Captain Prateek Jain too played a wonderful innings and added unbeaten 54 runs in 35 balls helping team reach at a good score.
While replying, Kheteshwar Sports Club started to fumble from the start as they lost some important wickets in early overs. None of the players managed to go beyond 20’s and team collapsed at a paltry score of 75 runs in 15.1 overs. Highest run getter was Aravind Singh with 22 runs. The chief wrecker was Maan k Bafna from Mafia Jain’s, whose 5/11 in just 3.1 overs was instrumental in the early collapse of Kheteshwar Sports Club.
Mafia Jain’s registered a glorious 90 run win over Kheteshwar Sports Club in the final of Rajasthan Cricket League 2018.
