One of the most celebrated tournaments of Bikaner- GPL-3 Guraj Gaud Premier League 2018 was organized between 23rd Sep.’18 to 7th Oct.’18.
Out of the 19 participant teams, an all-important final of this heavily followed tournament was played between MGCC and Ma Chamunda Cricket Club on 7th Oct.’18 at Railway Ground- Bikaner.
Electing to bat, MGCC put up a decent score of 111 runs in 19.1 overs by losing all the wickets. Highest contributors were Manoj Upadhyay and Narayan Paiwal with 27 and 23 runs respectively. However, the players failed to prove their mettle and team did not manage to put up a big score for the final. Bowling highlight of the innings was Surendra Joshi, who picked 3 wickets in 4 overs giving 11 runs. Nandu Upadhyay and Immy too contributed well by picking 2 wickes each restricting the opponent at a low score.
While chasing, Nandu Upadhyay gave Ma Chamunda Cricket Club a good start by scoring unbeaten 56 runs in 66 balls. Despite of losing some important wickets in middle overs, team managed to reach at the score of 115 runs in 18.1 overs with the loss of 3 wickets. The other major contributors were Surendra Joshi and Immy, who added 24 and 21 runs at fast rate helping team reach at the target without much hassle.
Ma Chamunda Cricket Club registered a 7 wicket win over MGCC in the final of GPL-3 Gurjar Gaud Premier League 2018.
Nandu Upadhyay from Ma Chamunda Cricket Club was awarded as the player of the match for his all-round performance.
