Mysore Champion League 2018 was organized between 1st Oct.’18 to 4th Oct.’18 at Mysore.
Out of the 4 participant teams, the final of this much cherished tournament was played between MCS Blasters and Babri CC Mysore on 4th OCt.’18 at Pavilion Ground- Mysore.
Electing to bat, MCS Blasters played an excellent innings and put up a huge score of 219 runs in 20 overs by losing 5 wickets. The key contributor was Aqib Khan, who smashed 88 runs off 48 balls with 11 boundaries and 4 sixes. He was well supported by Mohammed Azhar, who added 62 runs at fast pace taking team to commanding position. Almost all the players played well and team managed to put up a big score for the final chase. Pick of the bowlers was Younus Moonstar from Babri CC Mysore with 3 wickets.
While replying, Babri CC Mysore too played well and gave a good fight till the end. Most of the players scored at fast rate, where Waseem Razak top scored it with 71 runs in 43 balls. However, despite trying really well, team did failed to score at required pace and ended up scoring 175 runs in 20 overs after losing 6 wickets. Aqib Khan from MCS Blasters shone with the bowl also as he succeeded in picking up 2 wickets in 4 overs during crucial overs.
MCS Blasters registered a glorious 44 run win over Babri CC Mysore in the final of Mysore Champion League 2018.
Aqib Khan from MCS Blasters was awarded as the player of the match for his all-round performance.
