Swarnakar Samaj Cricket Tournament 2018- organized by Swarnkar Samaj of Nagaur was played between 25th Sep.’18 to 30th Sep.’18 .
Out of the 16 participant teams, an all-important final of this much cherished tournament was played between Evergreen Warriors Nagaur and Karani Cricket Club Nagaur on 30th Sep.’18 at Nagaur Stadium.
Evergreen Warriors Nagaur won the toss and elected to bat. Most of the players were contributing significantly from the final score but the show stealer was Jitendra Toshawar, who displayed excellent batting skills and smashed 70 runs in just 38 balls with as many as 10 boundaries and 2 sixes. The other key contributors were Mahesh and Prince Kadel, who scored 37 and 21 runs respectively at fast rate. With most of the players scoring well, Evergreen Warriors Nagaur posted a big score of 177 runs at the end of 20 overs by losing 7 wickets. Bowling highlight of the innings was Manav from Karan Cricket Club Nagaur, who picked 2 wickets in 4 overs.
While replying, Karani Cricket Club Nagaur failed to get a good start with both the opening batsmen Jitender Soni and Kailash Soni being dismissed at single digits. However, remaining players tried really well and gave a very good fight till the end but did not manage to score at required pace and collapsed at the score of 161 runs in 19.1 overs. Highest scorers were Manav and Nikhil with 37 and 26 runs respectively. Dheeraj Kadel from Evergreen Warriors Nagaur was the chief wrecker, whose 5/21 was instrumental in early collapse of Karani Cricket Club Nagaur.
Evergreen Warriors Nagaur registered a 16 run win over Karani Cricket Club Nagaur in the final of Swarnkar Samaj Cricket Tournament 2018.
