Under-19 Women Jagarlamudi Narendranath Memorial Quadrangular Tournament 2018-19 was organized between 19th Sep.’18 to 30th Sep.’18 at Guntur.
5 teams from various cities participated in this much cherished tournament from which, an all-important final was played between Bengal (W) and Mumbai (W) on 28th Sep.’18 at ACA Women Academy- Guntur.
Mumbai (W) won the toss and elected to field. Batting first, Bengal (W) posted a reasonable score of 92 runs in 20 overs with the loss of 6 wickets. Highest scorers were Dhara Gujjar and Sansthita Biswas with 29 and 21 runs respectively. Pick of the bowlers was Sayali Satghare, who gave only 9 runs in 4 overs picking 1 wicket restricting opponent from scoring freely.
While chasing, Mumbai (W) got an excellent start with Pooja Yadav and Sejal Raut scoring 22 and 56 runs respectively at fast pace. Sejal Raut played a wonderful innings and remained not out leading her team towards final win without any hassles.
Mumbai (W) registered an easy 7 wicket win over Bengal (W) in the final of Under-19 Women Jagarlamudi Narendranath Memorial Quadrangular Tournament 2018-19.
Sejal Raut from Mumbai (W) was awarded as the player of the match for her outstanding contribution.
