RGUHS Belgaum Zone Cricket Tournament 2018-19 was organized between 24th Sep.’18 to 28th Sep.’18 at Devangere.
18 teams for various colleges participated in this much celebrated tournament from which, an all-important final was played between S D M College of Physiotherapy and JJM Medical College on 28th Sep.’18 at BIET Ground- Devangere.
JJM Medical college won the toss and elected to field. Proving their decision right, they restricted S D M College of Physiotherapy at the paltry score of 84 runs in 23.4 overs. None of the players managed to score well against the strong strategic bowling attack of JJM Medical College. Highest scorer was Aditya, who scored 25 runs off 22 balls. Majority of the players were dismissed at single digits, which led to a low score of 84 runs with the loss of all wickets. Though all the bowlers of JJM Medical College performed extremely well, the pick of the lot was Animesh Sir JJMMC, who scalped 3 wickets in 3 overs damaging the batting line up of opponent majorly.
While chasing, JJM Medical College reached at the score of 85 runs in just 9.3 overs by losing 2 wickets in which, the major contributor was Lingesh, who smashed unbeaten 53 in 28 balls with 8 boundaries and 2 sixes leading his team towards a comfortable win.
JJM Medical College registered a glorious 8 wicket win over S D M College of Physicotherapy in the final of RGUHS Belgum Zone Cricket Tournament 2018-19.
