Final of 1st Maharao Shekha Inter Department T20 Cricket Cup was organized at SBN Cricket Stadium, Jaipur on 9th July 2017. Both Collectorate Royal Kings and D.T.A. Knight riders gave a good fight to win the tournament final.
Collectorate Royal Kings won the toss to decided to bat first. Though they’ve lost wickets at regular intervals, the team managed to put up the decent score of 114 runs at the end of 18 overs by losing all wickets. Bowling highlight of the inning was Raghunandan, who took 3 important wickets in 4 overs by giving only 9 runs.
While chasing the target of 115 runs, D.T.A. Knight Riders had a good start with Sudhir hitting 34 runs in 36 balls. The rest of the players too maintained their consistency in adding to the score to reach to the target. Rashtradeep Yadav from Collectorate Royal Kings managed to get 4 wickets in 4 overs restricting the opponent at some level but was unable to stop their run flow. The team reached to their target in 18 overs by losing 7 wickets and won the final by 3 wickets.
