After the hard fought series for both the teams, it was an important final between two strongest teams of BNI Premier League 2017 at Umiya Cricket Ground- Ahmedabad.
BNI Ganicus elected to bat first after winning the toss. Team’s batting line up was very strong and the team concluded the inning with the good score of 160 runs in 20 overs by losing 2 wickets. Karan Vakharia’s fiery 92 runs put his team in a very strong position from the beginning. Manan, who was also in good form added 43 runs in 48 balls. None of the bowlers from the opponent team seemed to be able to fight with the attacking batting of BNI Ganicus.
In reply, BNI Artemisia was already under pressure to play with good run rate for achieving the target of 161 runs in 20 overs. But, it was BNI Ganicus’s day as nothing went wrong for them and they packed off the whole team in 115 runs at the end of the day. Tremendous bowling by Vivek Parikh and Bhaumik Shah-P.B.Ceramics, who took 4 and 3 wickets respectively was the main reason behind the collapse of BNI Atremsia.
BNI Ganucus won the final by 45 runs and went on to be the champions of BNI Premier League 2017.
