Medico Premier League 2018 was played between 14th Aug.’18 to 21st Sep.’18 at Bhavnagar.
Out of the 8 participant teams, the crucial final was played between Thar Warriors and Valbhipur 11 on 21st Sep.’18 at Jawahar Medan- Bhavnagar.
Electing to bat, Thar Warrior never got a chance to score and started to lose wickets from early overs. None of the players managed to reach at double digits and team crumbled at a meager score of 41 run in 10.2 overs where in ironically, 15 runs were gifted to them by Valbhipur 11 bowlers through extras. The chief wrecker behind early collapse of Thar Warrior was Jay Vadsola from Valbhipur 11, who scalped 4 wickets in 2.2 overs hampering the batting line up of opponent team badly. Darshan Jasoliya too contributed well by taking 2 wickets in 3 overs giving only 7 runs.
Since the target was not difficult to defend, Valbhipur 11 reached at the score of 42 runs in just 8.1 overs by losing 1 wicket. Opening batsman Balbhandrasinh Gohil and Jay Vadsola scored unbeaten 19 and 11 runs respectively and led team towards final victory.
Valbhipur 11 registered a glorious 9 wicket win over Thar Warriors in the final of Medico Premier League 2018.
