Mansa Premier League Season-1 2018 was organized between 14th July’18 to 9th Sep.’18 at Mansa (Punjab).
The crucial final of this much celebrated tournament was played between Way Fighter XI and Milestone Bulls XI on 9th Sep.’18 at Khalsa Cricket Ground - Mansa.
Way Fighter XI won the toss and chose to bat. Opening batsman Bhupinder Singh gave team an excellent start by smashing 78 runs off 63 balls with 7 boundaries and 1 six. Though remaining players did not manage to score well with most of them being dismissed at single digits scores, team managed to post a good score of 141 runs in 20 overs by losing 9 wickets. Bowling highlight of the innings was Simranjeet Singh, whose 3/15 helped them restrict Way Fighter XI from putting up a huge score.
While chasing, Milestone Bulls XI got a very good start with both the opening batsmen Manoj Painter and Harpreet Singh scoring 31 and 22 runs respectively at fast pace. However, team lost wickets in quick succession after Harpreet Singh’s dismissal with most of the players scoring in single digits except Rajdeep Singh (19), which restricted their pace and team collapsed making 99 runs at the end of 20 overs after losing all the wickets. Shenty from Way Fighter XI bowled exceptionally well and picked 5 wickets in 4 overs that dismantled Milestone Bulls XI completely.
Way Fighter XI won the final of Mansa Premier League Season-1 2018 by 42 runs against Milestone Bulls XI.
Bhupinder Singh from Way Fighter XI was awarded as the player of the match for his excellent contribution.
