ArisGlobal Premier League 2018 was organized between 18th Aug.’18 to 9th Sep.’18 at Mysore.
12 teams from various verticals participated in this much cherished tournament, from which the final was played between Galaxy XI and Chi Thu Challengers on 9th Sep.’18 at Railway Ground- Mysore.
Electing to bat, Galaxy XI scored at very fast rate posted a huge score of 128 runs in 10 overs with the loss of 5 wickets. The major contribution for this score came from Karthik Urs, who batted exceptionally well and smashed unbeaten 81 runs in just 32 balls with 5 boundaries and 9 sixes. Opening batsman Vinod too started well with 24 runs off 19 balls. With their high strike rate, Galaxy XI easily managed to reach to a good score of 128 runs in 10 overs. None of the bowlers from Chi Thu Challengers managed to restrict the run flow of Galaxy XI, however, Naveen Srinivas succeeded in picking 3 wickets in 2 overs.
While chasing, Chi Thu Challengers too gave a good fight till the last over. Opening batsman Roshan Patil gave team a good start by scoring 22 runs at fast pace. Sachin Pandey Aris, who came to bat on 4th position played an excellent innings and added 62 runs in 27 balls with 2 boundaries and 7 sixes maintaining the required strike rate. However, remaining players failed terribly in scoring at required rate and team ended up scoring 103 runs in 10 overs by losing 7 wickets. Pick of the bowlers was Chandan from Galaxy XI, who scalped 3 wickets in 2 overs giving 9 runs.
Galaxy XI posted a 25 runs win over Chi Thu Challengers in the final of ArisGlobal Premier League 2018.
