One of the most celebrated tournaments of Ahmedabad- Rajpurohit Premier League -5 2018 was played between 30th Aug.’18 to 2nd Sep.’18 .
Out of the 18 participant teams, an all-important final was played between Mafia Ahmedabad and Desi Boyz Sports Club on 2nd Sep.’18 at Party Party Plot & Ground- Ahmedabad.
Mafia Ahmedabad won the toss and chose to bat. Decision did not seem to go well for the team as they started to lose wickets from early overs. Most of the players failed to score well against the strong bowling attack from Desi Boyz Sports Club. Highest scorer was Mahendra B Rajpurohit with 19 runs. Majority of the players were dismissed in single digits and team collapsed at the meager score of 66 runs in 13.1 overs. Chief wrecker was Sunil Purohit, who scalped 3 wickets in 4 overs giving only 19 runs. Sagar too chipped in with 3 wickets affecting the batting line up of Mafia Ahmedabad badly.
While chasing, it was a smooth sailing for Desi Boyz Sports Club as both the opening batsmen Kishan Singh Rajpurohit and Lokndar Rajpurohit made 15 and 33 runs at fast pace helping team reach at the target easily. Desi Boys Sports Club reached at the score of 67 runs in just 10.5 overs by losing 4 wickets. Pick of the bowlers was Thansa from Mafia Ahmedabad with 2 wickets.
