Markandey Premier League -4 2018 was organized between 12th Aug.’18 to 29th Aug.’18 at Solapur.
13 teams from various verticals participated in this much celebrated tournament, from which the crucial final was played between Shitaram Mahakal Parivar and Adv. Shrinivas Kaktur on 29th Aug.’18.
Adv. Shrinivas Katkur won the toss and chose to field. Batting first, Shitaram Mahakal Parivar played a wonderful innings and posted 124 runs in 10 overs by losing 7 wickets. Opening batsmen Sunil Kamuni and Sunny Kamuni gave team a good start by scoring 21 and 24 runs respectively at fast pace. However, the key contributor was Captain Yogesh Aande, who smashed 38 runs off 16 balls during crucial overs that helped team reach at a good score. Pick of the bowlers was Vikram Y Saka from Adv. Shrinivas Katkur, who picked 3 wickets in 2 overs.
While replying, Adv. Shrinivas Katkur failed to get a good start and lost some important wickets in early overs. However Mahesh P, who came to bat on 4th position played an excellent innings and gave a very good fight single handedly by scoring 53 runs in 22 balls with 6 boundaries and 4 sixes. But he didn’t get required support from the other end as most of the remaining players were dismissed in single digits. Adv. Shrinivas Katkur ended up scoring 95 runs in 10 overs with the loss of 6 wickets. Hemant Gajeli from Shitaram Mahakal Parivar bowled really well and scalped 3 important wickets in 2 overs damaging the batting line up of opponent team majorly. Adv. Sharinivas Katkur ended up scoring 95 runs in 10 overs with the loss of 6 wickets.
Shitaram Mahakal Parivar displayed an all-round show and registered a 29 run win over Adv.Shrinivas Katkur in the final of Markandey Premier League-4 2018.
Yogesh Aande from Shitaram Mahakal Parivar was awarded as the player of match for his significant contribution.
