All India U-19 Cricket Championship 2018 was organized between 13th Aug.’18 to 18th Aug.’18 at Panipat.
16 teams from various cities participated in this much celebrated tournament, from which an all-important final was played between Haryana Dabangs and Punjab Smashers on 18th Aug.’18 at Siwah NH-1 Panipat.
Electing to bat, Haryana Dabangs played a wonderful innings and posted a good score of 163 runs in 20 overs by losing 8 wickets. Team had a strong batting line up with almost all the players contributing well for the final score. Opening batsmen Ajay Nandal and Sahil gave team a good start by scoring 14 and 26 respectively at fast pace. However, highest scorer was Lokesh, who made unbeaten 35 runs off 34 balls. While replying, Punjab Smashers started to fumble from early overs against the strong bowling attack from Haryana Dabangs. None of the players managed to stay strong and team collapsed making 66 runs in 15.5 overs. Most of the players were dismissed in single digits, where highest score of the innings was 15 runs made by Kartik. Almost all the bowlers of Haryana Dabangs pefromed well but pick of the bowlers were Ajay Nandal and Ravi Joshi, who picked 3 wickets each damaging the batting line up of Punjab Smashers completely.
Haryana Dabangs registered a huge 97 run win over Punjab Smashers in the final of All India U-19 Cricket Championship 2018.
Ravi Joshi from Haryana Dabangs was awarded as the player of the match.
