Summer T20 Cup Season- 1 organized by Taha Super Leagues was played between 12th Jul.’18 to 12th Aug.’18 at Ajman.
The crucial final of this much cherished tournament was played between Dubai Markhor CC and Deccan United CC on 12th Aug.’18 at Sealine G-14, Ajman.
Electing to bat, Dubai Markhor CC played a very well and posted a good score of 182 runs in 20 overs by losing all the wickets. Almost all the players contributed significantly in the final score. Top scorers were Gareeb Alam and Khuram Barvi, who made 31 and 30 runs respectively at fast pace. Pick of the bowlers was Muhammad Tariq from Deccan United CC, who picked 3 wickets in 4 overs.
While chasing, Deccan United CC got a good start with opening batsman Syed Murtaza Ali smashing 32 runs in 17 balls with 5 boundaries and 1 six. Muhammad Tariq supported him well from the other end by adding 26 runs off 21 balls taking team to a strong position. However, the strong partnership between Wasim Ashraf and Waqas Mohammed, who scored unbeaten 46 and 48 runs respectively led Deccan United CC straight towards the victory. Team reached at the score of 183 runs in 18.5 overs by losing 4 wickets.
Deccan United CC registered a comfortable 6 wickets win over Dubai Markhor CC in the final of Summer T20 Cup Season-1.
