GPL- TSCC Tournament 2018 was organized between 20th May’18 to 12th Aug.’18 at Gannuar.
Out of the 12 participant teams, an all-important final was played between Brothers Cricket Club Gannaur and Garhi Kesri Cricket Club on 12th Aug.’18 at Janta Senior Secondary School Ground- Gannaur.
Electing to bat, Brothers Cricket Club Gannaur played well and posted a competitive score of 126 runs in 20 overs by losing all the wickets. Opening batsman Anil Tm gave team a good start by scoring 64 runs off 48 balls with 8 boundaries and 2 sixes. However, other players did not manage to put up a big score and team closed the innings at the score of 126 runs. All the bowlers of Garhi Kesri Cricket Club performed well but pick of the bowlers was Lala, who scalped 4 wickets in 4 overs. He was well-assisted by Monu and Pankit Kaushal, who picked 3 and 2 wickets respectively damaging the batting line up of Brothers Cricket Club Gannaur badly.
While chasing, after a wonderful bowling performance Garhi Kesri Cricket Club failed to prove their mettle in batting. Most of the players were dismissed in single digits restricting them from reaching at the target. Top scorer was Madan Tyagi, who made 49 runs off 46 balls with 4 boundaries and 1 six. However, his outstanding effort went in vain as none of the players managed to go beyond 10’s and team ended up scoring 103 runs in 20 overs with the loss of 9 wickets. Bowling highlight of the innings was Anil Kala, who took 4 important wickets in 4 overs.
Brothers Cricket Club Gannaur registered a 23 run win over Garhi Cricket Club in the final of GPL- TSCC Tournament 2018.
Anil Tm from Brothers Cricket Club Gannaur was awarded as the player of the match.
